video card streaks on frumious-bandersnatch (ESG)

The video card on frumious-bandersnatch in the ESG cluster (26-6xx)
is experiencing horizontal streaks -- dark areas of windows make
the entire horizontal line that they are on darker. This is apparently
a somewhat common problem. Swapping monitors showed that it is not a monitor
problem; I have tried playing with X configuration but I think it is
a video card problem. The machine is still under contract; when can
you replace it?
