As we've all been watching on the news, Hurricane Isabel is attacking the
North Carolina coast and will head northward later today. We hope that few
lives are lost as the storm progresses. Fortunately for us, weather reports
indicate that the hurricane should not have too high an impact in Eastern
Massachusetts. However, because there is the probability of strong winds
and rain tonight and tomorrow, there are precautions we all should take.
What should we do to prepare for the hurricane here?
* When you leave work today, make sure that all windows and
exterior doors are closed.
* If you or any of your colleagues have light weight furniture
outside, move it inside.
* Anyone with basement offices or labs may want to move
sensitive items from floors as a precaution.
* Any problems may be reported through x3-4948
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Regards,
Ruth
