URGENT! Need site visits to 5 systems ASAP to remedy nasty bug

Alex Prengel was having problems with his new machine today.
We traced it to a problem in the Athena installer that was introduced
last Wednesday. We've reverted to the pre-Wednesday setup, and crafted
a fix, but some systems were installed broken.
Anyone logging into such systems risks having their GNOME setups
corrupted such that their login is screwed up.
The following systems:
barker-6-5,
m38-370-10,
mull,
prsns1,
stage8
are affected.
The remedy is:
Log in a root
run
/srvd/install/athchanges
and you're done.
Could someone please, as quickly as possible, visit these systems and
run the remedy?
We're working on something to help people whose dot files got messed
up. Getting this remedy done quickly is important.
