Greetings
I just sent a message to Brain Murphy on this. Please disregard it
as it referenced the resolution problem. We will try and get in there
Monday and replace the suspect cable.

Athena folks-

There seems to be a problem with the workstation, nothing appears on
the
screen. Please check to see if the switcher from Athena to SMA
computer is
functioning properly. This could be the problem.

Thanks,
We are still encountering issues with this setup. Can not
get linux/athena to appear on the flat panel display. Had
Bill Cattey (from development) look at this issue. He also
feels that it is A.V. related Could you please look into this issue

Hi all,
Another update:
Myself & Andrew Boardman
(Development) went to 3-370
this evening for more troubleshooting. We were able to successfully load
linux/athena onto the system. However, the
monitor keeps cutting in & out, especially when the white/
beige cable (behind the switch box is touched/wiggled etc..)
It still appears that there is some sort of a short in this cable, or the
port/ports its connected to. Right now it does not look like a resolution
issue, but I still think it needs your attention. So, I guess we are
about 3/4's of the way
there to resolving this issue. If you need somebody present from our
group when you re-visit this issue, please copy
tech-classrooms as well on the mail.
Thanks Much,
