Intermittent bearing problems on HD?

The VS 3100 Matt Wagner in 38-376 is having the classic signs of
intermittent HD bearing problems. It makes a grinding like noise
every 5 minutes or so, in addition to the abnormal amount of noise it
makes during normal operation. We have seen this in the past and it
is almost always means the drive bearings are about to go. We were
wondering if you could take a look at it.
