Dear hotline@athena,

In the chemical engineering department, we currently have 3 athena
workstations with problems.

1.	System Type:	DECVAXSTAT-3100
	Model:		VS42A-AA
	Serial Number:	AB93206I4U
	Location:	66-317
This workstation frequently crashes. John Chase has already been out
to take a look at it, but he hasnt solved the problem yet.  He asked
for me to log the messages that come up on the console window
when the workstation crashes, and this is what comes up:
14:52 afs: Lost contact with file server 18.70.0.6 in cell athena.mit.edu
14:59 afs: Lost contact with volume location server 18.80.0.2 in
	cell athena.mit.edu
15:00 afs: Lost contact with volume location server 18.72.0.43 in
	cell athena.mit.edu
15:01 afs: Lost contact with volume location server 18.70.0.6 in
	cell athena.mit.edu
We reboot the workstation and it works fine for a day or so and then
crashes again.

2.	System Type:	DECVAXSTAT-3100
	Model:		VS42A-AA
	Serial Number:	AB93206GXA
	Location:	66-505
This workstation's screen is frozen.

3.	System Type:	DECVAXSTAT-3100
	Model:		VS42A-AA
	Serial Number:	AB93300RAF
	Location:	E40-242D
This workstation has two problems:
1) No one can login.  It gives an Authentication Failure.
2) A long time ago someone changed the password for root, and now
no one knows what it is.

If you could let me know when these workstations can fixed, that
would be great.
