floppy drive problem

This machine (w20-575-89) is having trouble with the floppy disks. I tried
using dosread and it returned
> 16:28 sd2:HARD ERROR: compare error
in the console window. I then went over to one of the RS/6000's and
successfully read the file from the same disk.
I've been getting many of these errors from VAX 3100's. Maybe it's something
wrong with the driver. This same disk works on DEC 3100's too. Please look
into this.
