Another failure on the Kerberos server

Drive 1 (the drive with the Kerberos database on it) failed again today
(it failed last week and was replaced with a new, now known to be defective,
drive). Unfortunately we were not able to get any information off of the
drive. This means:

 1) We are restoring from a backup made last night at midnight.
New user accounts created since then will need to have their password
fixed. Any user who changed their password since midnight last night
will find that it is set back to the pre-last night version and will
need to set their password again.

 2) While we are restoring the database, password changes (and new account
creation) are disabled. We expect full service to be restored sometime
 this evening.

Note: People can still login and otherwise use the Athena System.
Our "slave" servers are handling the load just fine.

Sorry for the inconvenience...
