problem with printer server e25-147-p

I'm the cluster manager of a private cluster in E25-147. The
printer there is under a service contrace from athena. At
the moment, the server won't respond to ping or normal print
attempts or lpq. lpc keeps telling me it can't find the
setup file. I have rebooted the server, to no avail, and
cannot log in to it. (Can this be changed, please?).
If you need to take a look at the hardware, the combination
to E25-147 is 512*.
