I have reformatted the disk I reported was having problems in my
message of Tue, 8 Oct 91 19:59:39 -0400. John Carr tells me that the
errors I got are most likely *not* transient errors, and that
therefore it's likely that they'll eventually recur and the drive will
have to be replaced.
I'll let you know if they do show up again.
