John Krauspe responded after trying to run the diags, see below. It sounds
like he's having a problem running them himself. I'm going to setup a time
that's convenient for him, and walk him thru the diags. I'll get back
to hotline with the final disposition.

Hi Kim,
I tried the reset on menhaden. It is a decstation-3100 (though I don't know
if it's a model 30). All I get from the reset is the failure message I have
mentioned and an autoboot. I aborted and tried the test but the system didn't
like the arg 0. More help would be appreciated. By the way, the prompt I get
when I abort is >>, not >>> if that's any clue.
