When a fileserver goes down (on purpose) a message gets sent out over
the filserv zephyr instance for that server.
But most dialup users don't run zephyr, so they don't get notified.
Instead, they get frustrated, because their locker becomes unavailable w/o
any warning, and they can't even just stay logged on to wait it out, because
they'll get automatically logged out. (And their phone is tied up so they
can't call the consultants, and it takes forever and a day to run ANY
command once they get an athena% prompt again, so olc isn't an easy solution.)
Can something be done to remedy this? Maybe a broadcast to all dialup
users, or something like that?
Thanks.
