What time Friday did he come by? The keypad was non-functional for
several hours Friday evening. I sat in the cluster near the door and
opened it for those students who knocked, although I am a poor
replacement for a functional keypad.
I myself tried entering the (correct) combo many times that night, at
different speeds and with different amounts of pressure to see if I
could get it to work, but failed. Given it's flakiness, my initial
guess would be that the failure is temperature or humidity related,
and located in the circuitry not the buttons or contacts.
