So, Dan (?) from Campus Security came by Friday, and
I talked with him, and we were unable to make the keypad fail,
and he was reluctant to replace it if he couldn't see the failure.
He said we should let him know if it continued to act up, and seemed
to think the problem was people mis-entering the combination and not
waiting long enough for the pad to reset.
As of this morning, the pad continues to misbehave, most notably
on the star key, but ocasionally ways that are not so easy to pin-down.
So it probably _should_ be replaced.
It's a shame the new ones are not as reliable as the old ones were.
