The dev cell fileserver rattle will be unavailable for
approximately 15 minutes beginning at 1:30am on Wednesday, 7/31/2002
(note that this is late Tuesday night). During this time, maintenance
will be performed on the machine's RAID array. During the outage, all
volumes stored on rattle will be unavailable, and clients may experience
console messages of the form:
afs: lost contact with file server 18.7.15.89 in cell dev.mit.edu.
This outage should only affect users with private workstations in the
alpha and beta clusters; it should be invisible to most Athena users.
As always, notifications will be sent to the consult instance.
