The athena cell fileserver poseidon will be unavailable for
approximately 15 minutes beginning at 1am on Friday, 7/19/2002 (note
that this is late Thursday night). During this time, the machine will
be upgraded to Athena 9.0. During the outage, all volumes stored on
poseidon will be unavailable, and clients may experience console
messages of the form:
afs: lost contact with file server 18.158.0.24 in cell athena.mit.edu.
As always, notifications regarding the status of the outage will be sent
to the consult instance.
