I have been doing file transfers from the Athena dialup servers without the slightest problem for problably more than a year using a Macintosh communicating with White Knight. However, today I am having a problem I have not had since the first three months or so after the new number for dialup (258-7000) was set up: my terminal sessions work fine, but something chokes the Kermit protocol, and my file transfers don't work. Do you folks know of any network change or problem that would cause this? Using the who command, I see that I am on:
rmthorne ttyq0 Sep 3 12:30 (LASAGNE.MIT.EDU)
Have you been getting complaints about file transfer? I am pretty sure it's not on my end, but I will need to know if I have to check for this.
