Jerry-pournelle, a VAXStation 3100 in the EECS cluster, is not
connecting to the net. Rebooting doesnt help. It runs through
the startup activities, but it cant get out. The machine doesnt
ping from any other machine -- even ones on the same wire.
This is urgent, because this is being used as one of the clearinghouse
machines. This also means that the root password is NOT mrroot!
(Id prefer not to give that out, especially over e-mail, if you dont mind)
I have some local hacks on the machine for clearinghouse, and the
machine was up and running yesterday, but its not today....
Could you please take a look? Thanks.
