The athena.mit.edu AFS top level volume servers charybdis and
draino will be unavailable for approximately 2 hours beginning at 1am on
the morning of the days listed:
charybdis Thursday, 3/28
hydra Friday, 3/29
During this time, the machines will be upgraded to a more recent Athena
version.
In call cases, the data stored on the machine is replicated, and clients
should experience no outage, although they may experience console
messages of the form:
afs: lost contact with file server 18.179.0.30 in cell athena.mit.edu.
As always, status notifications will be sent to the consult instance.
