This morning I called the Athena Faculty Liason phone line and reported
a problem with my Athena Work Station.  I tried rebooting the system and
the monitor, but that did not help.  I now realize that it is the monitor
that is at fault, and that its "red" gun is not working.  That is, it can
oly provide the colors made from green and blue.  I have tried adjusting
the "red" brightness, but this does not seem to have any effect.  Any 
help you can give would be appreciated.  Thanks.  -  Jeff Lang, EECS,
