The Sun Ultra 5 workstation m4-231-1 won't let me log in, saying it
can't find krb5.conf. I've seen this error occur on at least three
machines recently. The usual cure seems to be a reinstall. However,
today it happened just as I was planning on using a machine to give
a lecture in the room. Fortunately, I was able to get around the
machine's problems by using a PC with an X server and SecureCRT
to login elsewhere. However, I did lose about 20 minutes of class
time to this technology failure. What's going on? These problems
must have some cause.
