As mentioned in my previous emails, 1 of the 2 quickstations available to teh
400 residents of Tang Hall is still run running (something about not being able
to mount hda).
While I know Mr Thomas has tld me this info has to go to another address than him,
I would like to take this opportunity to point out that the normally 3-5 people
waiting to use the 2 quickstations is often even longer now. I realize that
funds are not unlimited. However, given that Tang is pretty far away from any
athena clusters, and that it is composed of 100% graduate students (who have
limited / no access to the undergraduate hall's computing facilities) I once
again make the request for more than the current number of quickstatiosn to be
present. there is ample space for teh machines. There is also ample demand.
With kind regards,
Salil Soman
