One of the consultants reported corfu's state over zephyr; he noticed
that the queue was not down'd, but that there was an official looking
message saying "do not use, athena".
Since it's confusing to remote users to leave a printer physically down,
but without down'ing the queue, I've down'd the queue with a message.
Here's what I ran, on athena to do so:
athena% lpc down corfu
Printer: corfu@mulch
corfu@mulch.mit.edu: disabled and stopped
athena% lpc msg corfu "awaiting maintenance"
Printer: corfu@mulch
corfu@mulch.mit.edu: updated
This way remote users will get a message when they try to send the job,
rather than having the job remain in the queue uselessly.
When it's time to up the printer, here's what you should do to undo it:
lpc up corfu
lpc msg corfu
