Dear Bob,
Thanks for your email. I have been trying to get my set-up to sort of work
with whatever athena stuff exists. I used olc help and re-compiled some kernel
stuff and am in reasonable shape. I am as yet unable to get the networking to
work inside my virtual machine, other than that things are OK. This could
possibly be because the virtual machine software is not (yet) fully compatible
with the new linux kernel that athena 9.0 uses, in which case reinstalling
athena 9.0 will not help much. As I am still apprehensive about nuking out my
machine fully, I will just manage with the set-up as it is right now.
Thanks yet again for your emails and phone calls. I really appreciate the
help.
