Problem with Athena workstation (W20-575)

The machine I was working on started making weird noises,
and then it cut to text mode, indicated an error, and said
it had to reboot. It rebooted and displayed an error
reading /dev/hda7, saying to login as root and run fsck.
Running it didn't work, and it rebooted again and displayed
the same error message.
The workstation in question is a Dell GX110 in W20-575. To
its right is w20-575-24, and to its left is w20-575-36, but
I don't know the number of the machine itself.
