The dev.mit.edu fileserver wham will be unavailable beginning at
11:59pm for a software upgrade. The outage is expected to last
approximately 90 minutes, but may be completed more quickly. During the
outage, all volumes stored on wham will be unavailable, and affected
clients may experience console messages of the form:
afs: lost contact with fileserver 18.86.0.28 in cell dev.mit.edu
wham is also an AFS database server for the dev.mit.edu cell, so console
messages of the form:
afs: lost contact with volume location server 18.86.0.28 in cell dev.mit.edu
may also be encountered.
As always, status notfications regarding the outage will be
sent to the consult instance.
