The Ultra10 system (Barton-Sun) was once again reported with losing network
connection failures & no logins. I have spoken to the Professor late last week
regarding these issues, and stated that the symptoms appeared to be network
related rather then the actual hardware. The professor has once again run into
these failures today, and the above action was taken. Brett (Mike Sampsons
group) had contacted me to get some history of these failures. I suggested
that we coordinate a meet at the professors office, and investigate/
troubleshoot the issue. Brett and myself have met and have found that one of
the students in the professors group was using the IP address of Professor
Barton's ultra10. The problem was then rectified, and all now appears to be
well. The professor was very happy that all was solved.
