This machine started beeping constantly. It was sitting at an xlogin.
single quotes filled the username dialog. It seemed that the keyboard was
generating crap. Unplugging it and plugging it back in did not help. stop-a
made it shut up. Initially I was not able to type "boot" to get it to
reboot, because of keyboard problems. Just now, I suceeded. It soon started
doing the same trick, so I hit stop-a again and now leave it for your viewing
pleasure.
