I seem to be having a lot of trouble today with timeouts. Something
(xmh, xdiscuss, whatever) will time out and exit with a console
message. I'll ping the offending machine, and it pings fine. I'll
ask if anyone else is having trouble (by zephyr), and no one is. I'll
try again and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Unless
there's been a pattern of odd server outages today, it sounds like a
network problem between mystery.mit.edu and the servers. Thought you
might want to know.
