Hi,
My name is Rahul. I work in a lab in Building 16. I spoke to you earlier
today on athenizing two worksations in my lab. One of them is a SGI O2 with
the following specs : 180 MHz R5000 processor with 64MB RAM and 4GB hard
disk. According to your web site this configuration is listed as one of the
previous Athena configuration. I would like to know if this configuration
is good enough for the New athena software to last atleast for a couple of
years. I would also like to know if increasing the RAM or hard disk space
is absolutely essential for the installation of the Athena software.
The other workstation is a SGI Indigo 2 which is a R10000 machine with 128
MB ram and 4GB hard disk. You had mentioned that you wont install the
Athena software on this machine. Since this machine is faster than the O2
we would like to know if there is any way that this system can be athenized.
Please let me know.
Thanks
Sincerely,
Rahul Raman
