Subject: Bldg. 14W - 111 (Killien Hall) and South Wing West -
Asbestos Rem oval Shutdown Request

	Dear Everyone:

As most of you are aware, there is asbestos in the insulation of the
chilled
water pipes in the penthouse of Bldg. 14W that must be removed. In
order to
do this we are seeking a window of opportunity of two to three weeks
either
at the end of March or the last two weeks in March and the first
week in
	April.

This work must be done by that time because the chilled water (air
conditioning) cannot be turned on until the asbestos has been
removed and
	the pipes have been re-insulated.

The systems that would be affected are Air Handlers 4 and 5 - supply
ventilation and return as well as exhaust-general air that service
14W - 111
	and the South Wing West.

Would you all please be good enough to let either Warren Scott or me
know
what dates would be good for you to have this work done -- perhaps
from
Monday, March 13 to Friday, March 31 or Monday, March 20 to Friday,
April 7.

	Thank you.
