Hi,

I've been having a problem logging into my home directory from technetium.mit.edu (a Sun SPARCstation 5 in 8-433), for over a week now.

I can successfuly attach my home directory from any other Athena machine, and other users can log into their respective home dir's from technetium.
I also can successfuly cd to my home dir (/afs/athena.mit.edu/user/m/o/molecan).

I've edited the /etc/passwd, /etc/pawsswd.local, in an attempt to reset my home dir to /mit/molecan.

Upon suggestion of the Athena OLC's, I brought the system down to single user mode, deleted the afs cache files, (/usr/vice/cache).

This also didnt work. They stated that they didn't think there was anything more they could do, and suggested that I contact the hardware hotline....

Let me know if you have any ideas,

Coleman Greene
