The athena.mit.edu top-level volume server scylla.mit.edu will go
down for software updates the evening of Monday 7/12/1999, at 11:00
pm. It may be down for up to two hours, although if all goes well, it
could be back in as little as thirty minutes.
All data on scylla is replicated. While users may experience
temporary hangs or see console messages to the effect of "afs: Lost
contact with file server 18.145.0.15 in cell athena.mit.edu", no data
should be unavailable during the outage.
As always, status messages regarding the outage will go to the zephyr
instance "consult".
(NOTE: This is not the same outage as the one on Sunday. There are
two outages scheduled for two different servers; one on Sunday night
and this on one Monday night.)
