Because you were unable to manually eject the CD, or use software to
cause the disk to eject, its quite possible that the drive is
mechanically jammed. I have cc'ed this email to hotline, so that they
can check the machine that you were logged in to (W20-575-28.MIT.EDU)
and make sure that the CDrom is ok, and possibly retrieve your CD.
