machine e51-075-11 (sun4) is making a very odd repetitive mechanical
noise. It sounds for all the world like it's convulsively trying to
eject a floppy (which it doesn't seem to have in its drive). No one
is logged on there (I am logged in next to it), and it's been doing
this at least since I entered the cluster.
