To: athena-outage@MIT.EDU Date: Thu, 04 Mar 1999 20:55:51 EST From: Garry Zacheiss <zacheiss@MIT.EDU> Shortly after midnight on the evening of this Saturday, 3/6/99, the Athena AFS fileserver Phlegethon will go down to replace a failing disk. All data has already been removed from the disk in question. We are scheduling a 1 hour window for the outage, but if all goes well, the server should be unavailable only briefly. During the span of the outage, all volumes on the server will be unavailable, and clients may experience timeouts. Garry Zacheiss MIT I/S, Athena Server Operations
