One of the lines in the x8-7227 hunt group is unusable. A disruptive
static noise is heard over the carrier.
My limited knowledge of telephony leads me to believe that the problem
is with the 5ESS or the wires to the modem. This is because the
static is heard once the switch connects the line, when the ringing
signal begins and before the modem answers.
