Hello,
I don't think you completely understood my question. Yes, the printer is
fine now, but every couple of days it gets 'stuck' because someone sends
it an improper file. Right now, the only way we can fix this problem is by
shutting off the printer for 15 min. or so to completely kill the queue.
If someone in our lab was a superuser for the printer, we could just kill
the one offending job and save the other 30 jobs behind it...
Therefore, my question is how can someone become a superuser for this
printer?
Thanks!

Subject: parsons, Building 48
Hello,
The problem we have here is pretty straight forward. Our printer,
parsons, gets sent DOS files on accident and we cannot kill
the queue ourselves to remove the "79 Service" error that occurs
because of this. This is due to the fact that we do not know
of anyone in the lab with superuser priviledges! The athena consultants
also cannot fix this as they cannot kill these jobs because
it is a private printer!
As the computer liason for the building, I should be able to do
this. How can I set it up?
