Starting at 10:00pm TONIGHT (evening of Saturday, 11/7/98), the
athena.mit.edu cell fileservers cyrus, phlegethon, and odysseus will go
down to replace failing disks. All data has already been removed from
the disks in question. We are scheduling a 2 hour window for the
outages, but if all goes well, each server will be unavailable only
briefly.
During the span of each outage, all volumes on the server currently
being worked on will be unavailable, and clients may experience
timeouts.
