It's increasingly giving disk errors, directories and files in /var
are dissappearing. The error is something like:
WARNING: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/dad@0,0 (dad0):
Uncorrectable data Error: Block 6ff07b
WARNING: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/dad@0,0 (dad0):
disk not responding to selection
WARNING: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/dad@0,0 (dad0):
ATA transport failed: reason 'reset': retrying command
WARNING: interrupt level 4 not serviced
dad0: disk okay
But, it appears that the disk is not 'okay'.
Any clues? Is it the disk, the interface, or software?
I'm going to try rebooting shortly, but even if that has a positive
effect, someone should have a look.
It's not a critical machine at this time, a 3 on a scale of 1-5.
Thanks,
Craig
