Hello,
There are some problems with chardonnay.mit.edu (18.55.0.33),
a Sun SPARCclassic located at 16-352-26, which need attention
as quickly as possible. Greg Allen (gallen@mit.edu) requested
help some time ago but it seems no one from Athena has come by
to fix the machine. Greg is no longer at MIT and I have just
been notified of the trouble with this machine, so I don't have
many details yet. (You probably have some record of Greg Allen's
earlier trouble report.)
chardonnay.mit.edu has a restricted set of users. After the
username and password are entered, they get a kerberos error
like the following:
kerberos failure 31
can't decode authenticator (krb_rd_req)
I don't know if this is the same problem reported by Greg Allen
earlier. I also don't know if this failure occurs for every
user on the restricted access list. But hopefully this is
enough info to get the process started.
