Regarding the allegedly "dirty" network around 66-008:
Ron asked if someone in Transmissions had looked at the problem. John
Morgante tested the drops and he found nothing wrong. His email to me is
below.
It seems like this problem is getting passed from one I/S team to another
without any resolution for the client. Case 119793 has several entries
from the Hotline folks, describing the problems they had when they tried to
upgrade the Athena workstations in 66-008.
Since the network seems to be at least part of the cause, perhaps someone
from Netops could work with someone from Hotline and do some investigating?

I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm trying to pass something
off on someone else. I did check the log first and seeing
no mention of Transmission's participation in the case, I
asked a question. The question was based on my experience
that when systems complain about CRC errors, it's always
been due to a bad drop.
I will take a look at the drop myself.
