The Athena bootp/tftp server Tae-Kwon-Leap will be unavailable
late Friday evening due to a software upgrade.
SCHEDULE:
Tae-Kwon Leap will be unavailable beginning at midnight Friday
night/Saturday morning. The outage is expected to last less than 2
hours.
REASON:
Tae-Kwon-Leap's software is being upgraded
SERVICES:
DECstation installs
SGI installs
HP printer network boots
IMPACT:
During the outage, DECstation and SGI network installs will not
be possible, and HP printers that are normally network booted via bootp
from Tae-Kwon-Leap will not be able to be rebooted. Any such printers
that are powered off during the outage will not be able to be restarted
until Tae-Kwon-Leap is back in service. All printers that are left
running throughout the outage should experience no ill effects, however.
