Unable to remote login

Hi,
Since July, 31 I have a problem accessing the Athena Terminal in our
room from another computer. As far as I see, the following happens:
The Athena Terminal (kfj1-sun) creates a new line in its password
file for me when I login from the console, but as soon as I logout
again, it is deleted again. If I try then to telnet from my terminal
(asterix.mit.edu), kfj1-sun says, I am not allowed to logon remotely.
Before July 31, I logged on once at the console and then kfj1-sun
had my name in its password file and I could do everything from my
terminal. This is still the case for the other users, which have had an
account for a longer time (so it seems).
