To whom it may concern:
I asked earlier about the contractor for IBM hardware service at MIT and I was told Direct One. I
had someone from Direct One finally come and look at our machine and they were not very helpful at
all. I was wondering what the specifics of our contract with Direct One are. What does a site
contract for Direct One mean and what if any discounts do we as an individual group at MIT recieve
by using Direct One. I was thinking about getting someone directly from IBM because I have been
told their hardware engineers are quite good. Would this create problems for MIT or would we lose
any rights/discounts by going this route?
