The problem is not with the monitor but with the software/hardware that 
generates the colors.  It seems that after the workstation runs for awhile 
that the color table gets corrupted.  The problem is usually most visible on 
the shaded blue screen that appears when you shut the machine down.  Instead 
of seeing a continuous range of blue, some of the horizontal bars show up in 
other colors.  Sometimes it is just a few colors, sometimes most of them.  I 
personally suspect that the graphics hardware inside the unit is defective.
