Hi Janice (& Andrea),

Shutting power down for an hour tomorrow would wreak havoc with our
computing servers on the 5th floor of building 9 for an extended period of
time due to the holidays.

It takes a crew of three or four people to manage our computing servers
during a power outage of this magnitude. This week we have a skeleton crew
that would have great difficulty bringing these back on-line. Since there
are many research projects that are depending on using these servers during
the holiday period, we would greatly appreciate it if the outage could be
avoided all together. If it must occur, it would be most helpful if it
could be scheduled when our staff is here in early January (i.e. anywhere
between 1/6 and 1/9). This way we will havew a chance to prepare.

We look forward to hearing your reply...

Please accept my warm wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season!

Kind Regards,

-Mike
