Hello:
The Athena workstation Chichon.mit.edu was down and cannot
be booted. Another Athena workstation ETNA.MIT.EDU in the
same room (54-826) doesn't work well, either. Both suffer
chronic loss of their network connections. 3-4 times
during a several-hour session, the machines will lose the
connection for about 5-10 minutes each time. A typical
error message is "lost contact with file server 18... in
cell athena.mit.edu" or "all mulit-homed ip addresses down
for the server."
Please help us to fix the problem. The room, 54-826, should
be open the whole day today. If not, anybody on the 8th floor
can help you to get in the room.
