Tray 2 is broken; specifically, the rear paper guide seems to be one
notch too far back. This means that the front and back guides are more
than 11" apart when set to letter size. If 8.5" x 11" paper is inserted
and pushed against the rear guide, the printer appears to treat it as A4
(try printing the postscript configuration page). If the paper is
pushed against the front guide, only the middle third of the page is
printed (same test). This also means that the tray cannot be locked in
A4 position.

I emptied tray 2 and left a note saying that it should not be refilled.
Tray 3 is okay.
