athena cluster problem

At least one of the workstations in the OE Athena Cluster (7-321)
is exhibiting this now-famous skull-and-crossbones logo instead of the
MIT Seal on the startup screen. What is this all of a sudden?
Is it something malicious on someone's part? There is also a message
about something happening on November 1. Do I need software
rebuilds? The workstation I've seen this behavior on is
seawolf.mit.edu (next to the window and cabinet in 7-321). Though I
suspect others also are having this problem -- but I can't tell -- they
are ALWAYS in use. Can someone please advise? Thank you for your
help.
